Why Teach Kids Tech

Ida Faldbakken is a partner in the impact investment firm Nordic Impact. She is a co-founder of "Jenter Koder", an initiative that focuses of teaching girls that coding can be creative and fun. Ida is also the co-founder and manager of Katapult Future Fest, a conference putting impact investing, exponential technologies and future society on the agenda. Being trained in philosophy, history and pedagogics, Ida has a strong human driven approach to technologies. In her writing and public speaking, she works around topics such as urbanity, gender equality and how to make use of technology to solve society's complex issues. At Boost, she will be leading the discussion "Why Teach Kids Tech?", where the Finnish company Mehackit and the Norwegian network Lær Kidsa Koding (Teach the Kids to Code) will talk about how and why we should get our children involved with technology early on, and how music and creative arts can be used to get more kids interested in coding and programming technologies.
